It was definitely not at first sight- or so we thought.
2012Our love journey took a turn from meeting at a local Spar in Soshanguve where we were both students, to secretly sharing our rooms and groceries in just months. 2012 remains a year engraved in our hearts as the beginning of the rest of our lives.

How we met
2012A feisty young gent coming to fetch his suit at the dry cleaners at the Maluleke Spar was not impressed with the service he was getting, while a frustrated looking beauty of a woman sat at the bar stool right at the counter, waiting to hear if she could replace her lost set of keys. Y7 I think the key number was, and unfortunately for her, it was not there. Fortunately for the gent, unimpressed with his suit not having returned to the store from the service provider, had an opportunity to ask the lady if she was okay and needed any help. Poor, frustrated and desperate beauty of a woman, had no choice, but to agree to any help that was on offer for her to gain access to her private residence off campus. Like the story goes, help she did get- and that help was to birth a 10 year relationship she now finds herself in.

SoshanguveThe half we are to one another is not only better, but the integral parts that make us look forward to seeing one another each day after work, the long walks at the beach during holidays, and the walks hand in hand at the mall for ice cream. Our souls remain intertwined, “ke gore, re tsenane”. We are one. The highlights of our relationship over the years, must be the births of our beautiful princesses, the B’s, who give us a reason to fight one more day daily.

Like any young family, asserting your love for one another includes excursions. We have had our fair share, which will of course be the order once our union has been solidified. We love hard, laugh hard, and of course play extremely hard! A good laugh keeps the doc away, and draws nearer better halves to one another. The past 10 years have been nothing short of amazing, and looking forward to a lifetime with one another together with our children. “Nna le mogatšaka”.

Our Prayer
We have been through it all. We have seen it. We know we are still going far, and by His grace, we will make it. We continue to seek His face and guidance through the days of our lives. We shall sing in praise, and kneel in prayer for all we ask for, and give thanks through the same. Ours is to commit ourselves to the course that the Lord has given us, and we shall be glad in it.
